Villa Safran - An exclusive holiday location

This fully-managed villa in the Antalya region of Turkey is an exquisite holiday destination. There is only one problem; summoning the energy and inclination to leave and explore.

Approximately 100 metres from the water's edge, cut into the hillside above a small cove, it offers spectacular views across the bay and towards the harbour. Kalkan village centre with shops and restaurants is a 10 minute stroll so a car is not essential.

The villa has four large bedrooms, both master suites with antique beds and two twins, each with their own private bathroom. A travel cot is available for our youngest guests. All three upstairs bedrooms have French doors opening onto their own private balconies, equipped with table and chairs and enjoy fantastic views across the bay and harbour. All bedrooms and salon are independently air-conditioned and have fly screens on the doors and windows to prevent unwelcome visitors.

The kitchen has black granite worktops and is fully equipped with Bosch appliances – cooker, dish washer, washing machine and large fridge freezer. The salon contains a burgundy suite and a feature working fireplace. It also has a satellite TV system, MP3-compatible hi-fi/CD player, DVD player and PS2 with a selection of games. For your added security there is a safe although Kalkan enjoys a virtually zero crime rate. All internal flooring is cool marble covered with numerous locally produced rugs and the villa is furnished to the standard you would expect of a luxury home.

The very private swimming pool is 9 metres by 4, sloping gently from Roman steps to a maximum depth of 1.85 metres. The pool area is surrounded by non-slip marble surface with wooden loungers and large parasols.

There is a lower garden with covered ottoman seating area and ceiling fan offering a cool and shady retreat. A choice of either gas or built-in barbecues are adjacent to the pool for al fresco dining and the villa is planted with extensive flower beds and fruit trees. In the evening there are soft chairs and discreet lighting to sit and enjoy the sunset and everchanging uninterrupted sea view at the end of a hectic day!
